ORIGINS

ELEGANCE IS A PATH WORTH FOLLOWING.

“For as long as I can remember I have always been drawn towards the world of tailoring. Perhaps it’s the call of my Neapolitan origins.”
D.Z.

Demis Zeolla was born in 1983 in a small town in the province of Asti, Italy. Whilst studying for his final exams at school, he was introduced to made-to-measure shirts through some Neapolitan relatives.
After graduating, his immense passion for tailoring inexorably led him towards a career in the world of tailored suits.

Neapolitan tailoring in our DNA.

This was the beginning of an adventure that saw him constantly move between Alba and Naples, his maternal city of maternal, as he learnt everything he could about the celebrated Neapolitan tailoring. For this reason, for many years he signed his garments “Zeolla Napoli”, before updating the brand which became “Zeolla Tailoring”.
In 2004, he opened a small atelier in Alba, in the heart of the Langhe in Piemonte, precisely because of the proximity to the town where he spent his youth. His memories of that period are clear:
"The first years weren’t easy at all: I was a stranger, a foreigner without a name. And if at first the clientele from Alba were less receptive to this novelty than what he might have received from a larger metropolitan city, over time he forged a mutually respectful relationship, allowing me to meet truly magnificent people who fully appreciate my work and with whom I have often created a relationship built on true friendship."

From Alba to Milan, passing through Turin.

This passion and dedication towards his work led him, some ten years later, to open his headquarters in Turin within the grounds of a fascinating nineteenth-century building designed by Gilodi. Located in the historic centre, this building has large spaces to accommodate customers and an internal tailor shop that allows him to personally follow the precious work of the tailors, one of the outstanding features of the atelier.

It didn’t take long for satisfactions to arrive and Zeolla Tailoring built a strong customer base in Turin, becoming one of the references in the segment of contemporary tailoring excellence.
Shortly after, the local customers were joined by customers from other areas of Italy as well as some international customers.

Always one to push himself and his craft through new challenges and opportunities, he made his way out of the Turin region and came to Italy’s fashion capital, Milan, opening a client reception point in the heart of the city’s haute couture district, Monte Napoleone.
